<p>PURPOSE:To destaticize effectively a sheet that has been charged in the course of conveyance, by embedding a destaticizing brush at each section where the ongoing sheet will slide, the destaticizing brush being inclined toward the direction from which the sheet will come, and being located upstream of each of bins that are vertically arranged. CONSTITUTION:When a sheet on which copy has been done and which has been discharged from a copying machine enters a sorter, and the rearward end of the sheet is detected by a discharge sensor S4, a speed change mechanism 10 is changed over to high speed, and the sheet is delivered upward at a high speed via a direction switching plate 14. Then a solenoid 4 of a prescribed bin 1 is turned off, and when a lever 11 is rotated a certain angle by a spring 13, a deflecting click 5 is also rotated, and the sheet 1 is deflected to the particular bin 1. A metal plate 23 having the destaticizing brush 23 embedded is attached to the undersurface of the base of the bin 1. The sheet that has been charged due to the contact thereof with conveying rollers 15, 16 in the course of the conveyance can be destaticized by the contact thereof with the brush 240.</p> |
