The changeover side of the cross-coupling unit has its own connectors (29) and enables user equipment to be changed over to different primary lines by means of loops. The unit has a lowerable front side on the inside (24a) of which are fitted printed circuits (30,31,32). On its side (31a) facing the front surface are secondary connectors in the form of coupling jacks (29) extending from the printed circuits through holes (24b) in the front side for access from the outside (24c). - The side (31b) facing away from the front side of the unit carries primary connectors (33) connected to the coupling jacks. The coupling jacks (29) are modular, and the contactors of the loops are modular plugs. The coupling jacks are divided into groups allocated to their respective printed circuits (30,31,32). A frame part (23a,23c) is provided to which the front side is fixed by hinges. The cross coupling unit can also be connected to one or more other such units to which various user equipment can be united. |
