PURPOSE:To make the whole engine compact by dividing a common tank into an enlarged chamber for a surge tank and an enlarge chamber for a resonator by a partition, and connecting the enlarged chamber for the surge tank and the enlarged chamber for the resonator to downstream and upstream of a supercharger, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A common tank 1 is divided into an enlarge chamber 2A for a surge tank and an enlarged chamber 3A for a resonator 3 by a partition 1a. The resonator 3 is connected with a common intake pipe 5 extending from an air cleaner 4 and also with an inlet port of a supercharger 8 through an inlet pipe 7. The supercharger 8 has an outlet port connected with the surge tank 2 through an outlet pipe 9 including an intercooler 11. The surge tank 2 is connected with respective cylinders C1 to C4 of the engine body 12 through individual intake pipes 13 separatetly. The partition 1a has a communication port 17 serving as a relief passage communicating both enlarged chambers 2A, 3A, and the communication port 17 is adapted to be opened and closed by an electromagnetic relief valve 18. |
