PURPOSE:To improve the degassing effect of a titled rotor regardless of the varying sizes of crucibles by providing plural pieces of specific vanes radially to a revolving shaft having a gas blowing hole in the central part. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of the vanes 6 are radially provided to the revolving shaft 1 having the gas blowing hole 2. The revolving shaft 1 of the rotor adjusted to 1:(1.4-2.50) ratio between the total volume of plural pieces of the vanes 6 and the total volume in the gap parts of the vanes 6 segmented by plural pieces of the vanes 6 is rotated and a treating gas such as N2 is introduced into the hole 2. The above-mentioned gas is released into the molten metal 4 in the crucible 7 from a gas releasing hole 3. The above-mentioned gas is once released from the edge of the rotor 5 with vanes 6 into the gap parts between the vanes 6 and is carried to the outside peripheral parts of the vanes 6 by riding on the flow to the outside edge of the molten metal 4 in the gap parts between the vanes 6 by centrifugal force along the front face in the rotating direction of the vanes 6. The gas floats upward on the side wall of the crucible 7 by riding on the convectional flow shown by the arrows of the molten metal 4 and makes gas-liquid contact in the form of fine bubbles. The degassing effect of the molten metal 4 is thus enhanced.
