PURPOSE:To shorten an inspection time by rolling a roller, aligning an array of electrodes on the roller with an array of terminal points on a board, and measuring the capacity between terminals in the array. CONSTITUTION:The roller 10 is put on the left end and a controller 14 operates under the command of a computer 16 to rotate the roller by a prescribed angle, thereby aligning one array of electrodes 12 provided lengthwise to the roller with the array of terminals 4 at the left end on the board 1. The computer 16 stores whether which position in the array the terminal points 4 are present, sends a command to a capacity measuring instrument, and operates an electrode selection switch according to the positions of the terminal points 4, thereby measuring the capacity of terminal points on every selection. When the capacity measurement of all terminal points in the array is completed, the computer rolls the rollers by the prescribed angle in the same direction through the controller to align the next array of electrodes 12 with the next array 5 of terminal points 4 on the board, and the capacity is measured similarly. This constitution eliminates the need to elevate and move a probe for each terminal point, and shortens the inspection time.
