PURPOSE:To measure the unevenness state of a road surface over a wide range with high accuracy by a relatively small-sized constitution by adding the output of a memory to an actual measured value and making corrections. CONSTITUTION:A laser light transmission and reception part 51 is mounted on a sensor support mechanism 10 equipped with a mobile frame 50 and a main body frame 52. The tip part of the frame 50 of the support mechanism 10 droops by its own weight and the light transmission and reception part 51 droops toward its tip. Then, the unevenness information from the road surface which is detected by the light transmission/reception part 51 is sent to an adder 7 and added to a corresponding correcting value outputted by a memory mechanism 6, and the resulting information is sent to a data processing circuit 8 to correct a measured value by the measurement position, so that the result is displayed and recorded at a display part 20.
