PURPOSE:To contrive to improve the data transmission efficiency by sending a consecutive specific data pattern while compressing it into one character. CONSTITUTION:A communication controller 8 uses a predetermined conversion code between an opposite terminal equipment 7 and the controller 8, and a part not in use on a conversion code table is used to send the consecutive special data pattern while being compressed into one character (special character). A means 9 receiving a data from a central processing unit, a means 10 detecting a specific pattern such as a consecutive predetermined hexadecimal (nn) FEX to the received data, a means 11 counting consecutive character number of the detected special pattern, a means 13 converting the result of count into one special character, a means 12 detecting the final character and a means 14 sending the data after conversion to an opposite terminal equipment, are provided.
