PURPOSE:To attain simultaneous translation service of a telephone call by allowing a channel switching section to switch a channel making a conversation to a translation channel according to a switching signal from a talking selection section. CONSTITUTION:When a talking is started, its voice signal is connected to an idle channel among general channels 5 by channel switching sections 3a, 3b. A channel selection section 2 supervises a talking through a monitor line 8 branched from a branching device 7 inserted to each channel. When a keyword requesting the start of translation service, the channel selection section 2 gives a command to the channel switching sections 3a, 3b to switch a general channel 5 having the conversation to a translation channel 6 and gives a command of translation start to a translation machine 1 and applies the changeover of the channel according to the command and the translation is started. When the conversation is finished and the telephone call is finished, the channel selection section 2 is activated by the sign and the command stops the translation machine 1 and the channel is restored to the original general channel 5.
