PURPOSE:To prevent an abnormal action by making simultaneously plural pairs of a recording and reproducing amplifier into a recording condition and supplying recording information only to one side pair of amplifiers. CONSTITUTION:When a mode changeover signal from an input terminal 10 comes to be a high level, a recording and reproducing amplifiers come to be all a recording mode. However, to recording and reproducing amplifiers 6A, 6B and 6A', 6B', a recording signal S1 from an input terminal 11 essentially depending on data enable signals S2 and S3 from input terminals 12 and 13 is selectively supplied. When a recording signal is supplied to the recording and reproducing amplifiers 6A and 6B, the recording signal is not supplied to the recording and reproducing amplifiers 6A' and 6B' and the reverse operation is also executed. When the recording signal is not supplied though the recording and reproducing amplifiers 6A, 6B or 6A', 6B' which are to be the recording mode, a direct current bias current only flows at the output side, rotary transformers 5A, 5B or 5A', 5B' can be neglected concerning the crosstalk of the direct current, and therefore, the recording current is not distorted.
