The fixture comprises a V-shaped groove in a block, with a channel in its base for sucking out air. A hollow chamber alongside the groove has a primary limiting surface which cuts the V-shaped groove one side surface along a first line running parallel with the point of the V. It has a second limiting surface cutting the other surface of the groove along another line at a distance from the point of the V, and which does not exceed the distance between the first line and the V point. Thus, the width of the gap between the first and second cutting lines is less than the optic fibre thickness. (Provisional basic advised Week 84/09) |
