PURPOSE:To edit pictures with natural magnification, reduction, etc., and with no deterioration of picture quality by converting pictures into bit images after editing them in a halftone data area. CONSTITUTION:The contents of a halftone memory part 6 are written periodically into a bit image memory part 2 by a bit image converting part 7. These contents written into the part 2 are displayed on a display matter 1 of a bit map structure. When pictures are reduced by means of an editing tool 4 and a halftone compiling part 5, a part of the part 6 where reduction is designated is interpolated by the halftone data. Then the reduced part is converted into a bit image and displayed on the display matter 1. |
