PURPOSE:To enable substitution for glass without deteriorating the optical transmittance, by treating the surface of a film having high optical transmittance and weatherability such that it can be adhered easily with the filler material. CONSTITUTION:A solar cell module comprises, from above, a polymeric resin film 1 having weatherability and high optical transmittance, a filler material 2, solar cell elements 3 interconnected with each other by leads, a filler material 2 and a metallic plate 3 in order. The plastic film 1 is required to keep its initial weatherability even if it has been irradiated for 1000 hours by a sunshine weatherometer. Further, it is required to have an optical transmittance of 80 % or more in the visible region. Materials suitable for the plastic film 1 are, for example, fluororesin such as perfluoro-alkoxy resin or the like, polycarbonate or poly methyl methacrylate or a composite material thereof. The filler material 2 is provided by a sheet of copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate. The surface of the transparent weather resisting film is treated such that easy adhesivity is achieved between the filler material and the film. As a result, a lightweight and simple solar cell can be obtained. |
