PURPOSE:To execute an accurate recording to a recording medium by providing a signal output means obtaining a signal in response to the frequency of a recording signal and a recording current control circuit controlling a current flowing to a laser beam source depending on the output of the signal output means. CONSTITUTION:A recording signal is inputted to an LD driving circuit 4 and a frequency level conversion circuit 2, which outputs a level signal in response to the frequency of the recording signal. A recording current control circuit 3 receives the output of the frequency level conversion circuit 2 to control a current flowing to a laser diode 1 proportional to the output of the frequency level conversion circuit 2. The LD driving circuit 4 uses a recording current specified by the recording current control circuit 3 to drive the laser diode 1 according to the recording signal. Thus, the laser diode 1 is driven by an optimum current in response to the frequency of the recording signal to attain accurate recording. |
