<p>PURPOSE:To make the tracking control accurate and to realize the simplification of constitution of the device by arranging plural recording/reproducing heads in a single track in broadwise direction and applying arithmetic processing to a reproduced signal so as to attain tracking control. CONSTITUTION:A rotary head 22 consists of a head 22A having a gap 25A formed at an azimuth angle of +theta in a direction vertical to the scanning direction and a head 22B having a gap 25B of an azimuth angle of -theta, and consists of head parts 22Aa, 22Ab, 22Ba and 22Bb being bi-sected respectively. If the head 22 scans a track and is deviated, a subtraction circuit 57 gives an output in response to the deviation to an error signal generating circuit 59 by using a reproducing signal from the head 22 and an error signal from the circuit 59 is given to a capstan motor control circuit 60, from which a capstan motor control voltage controls the head 22 so as to be scanned accurately.</p> |
