PURPOSE:To enable multipole magnetization to properly be performed without preheating a magnet material by uniformly magnetizing the whole of a specific rare earth magnet material, and thereafter applying a laser beam of a specific irradiation energy to perform demagnetization or erasure of magnetism. CONSTITUTION:A magnet material 1 is cur out from a sintered material containing components such as SmCo5, Sm(Pr)Co5, Sm2Co17, Sm2(Cu, Co, Zr)17. Multipole magnetization provides uniform magnetization by application of an external magnetic field in the film thickness or plate thickness direction of the magnet material. Then, after setting the product of the irradiation energy P depending on the beam diameter established correspondingly to the magnetic pole width and the irradiation time (t) calculated from the moving speed of the X-Y table within 50-3000J/cm<2>, by performing irradiation of an a-part without preheating, multipole magnetization can be accomplished without preheating. |
