PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide photographic sensitive material having high antistatic property preventing falling off of the antistatic agent powder, generation of pressure fogging and abrasion defect by providing at least one layer contg. a fibrous electroconductive material consisting primarily of fibrous potassium titanate having the surface coated with an electroconductive material consisting primarily of metal oxide and compound oxide of metal. CONSTITUTION:At least one electroconductive layer contg. a fibrous electroconductive material dispersed in a binder is prepd. wherein said fibrous electroconductive material consists primarily of fibrous potassium titanate which is coated with a conductive material consisting primarily of at least one metal oxide selected from Zn, Ti, Sn, Al, In, Si, Mg, Ba, Mo, and W and/or compound oxide of said metals. The electroconductive material to be used for coating the fibrous potassium titanate is pref. crystalline metal oxide, particularly those having oxygen defect and contg. a small amt. of different atoms forming a donor for the metal oxide because of its high electroconductivity and advantageous characteristic of generating no fog in the silver halide emulsion. Preferred examples of the metal oxide are, particularly, Zn, TiO2 and SnO2. |
