The cable distributor has a horizontal section (H) for the subscriber connections and a vertical section (2) for the network connections. A series of guide rings (4) is provided for the wires and cables fed between the vertical (V) and horizontal sections (H). The guide rings (4) are attached to the base (3a) of a C-shaped vertical metal profile (3) via an integral fixing plate. The guide rings (4) and the integral fixing plate may be made of metal or plastics.
