The invention is of the field of rearing birds, in particular poultry and game birds. It more particularly relates to an anti-peck prosthesis having an oblong body extended towards the front by a tongue 3 and laterally comprising two shields 12, fastening means in the form of a stapler 8 having two spurs 7 are also provided. The upper face of the body of the prosthesis has a curve 5 matching the inside of a jaw of the bird's beak, where as the lower face also has two lateral curves making between them a space for the tongue of the bird to pass. The prosthesis ends in a dovetail structure 6 freeing the taste and sense parts of the central mucus membrane (palatine slit) of the palate of the bird. <IMAGE>
