The watch has a centre-mounted hour hand (1), minute hand (2) and second hand (3) driven by a movement with an adjustment button (7) in the usual position at one side of the dial (4). A second movement independently drives a subsidiary hand (5) over a smaller 45-minute dial (6) offset from the centre. The 45-minute movement is started by a push on a separate button (8) in a different position at the edge of the watch case. The button is then isolated mechanically or electronically while the subsidiary hand revolves for 45 minutes before an audible alarm indicates the arrival of half-time or full-time. ADVANTAGE - Alarm is sounded automatically after 45 minutes, avoiding any possible error in presetting of timed interval.
