An adjustment device for a passive safety belt arrangement for vehicles, especially cars, is specified which has a slide (1) which can be connected to one end of a safety belt and is adjustable on a guide rail (12) by an adjustment element (16) which can be actuated by means of an adjustment drive, the adjustment element (16) being composed of a cable (17) which is left exposed by a cover (18) in the region of the slide (1), on which cable (17) there are held guiding bodies (20) which are displaceable in a longitudinal direction and come to rest in a sliding manner against the inner wall of a tubular guide profile (13). In order to avoid uneven wear of the guiding bodies on one side, the latter are to be held on the cable (17) in such a way that they rotate about the longitudinal axis at the same time as they are displaced longitudinally. <IMAGE>
