Torsional vibration damper with torsion springs arranged next to one another

The invention relates to a torsional vibration damper in which, arranged radially one above the other, are two spring sets connected in series. To improve the wear behaviour between the torsion springs and the corresponding apertures, the proposal is to divide at least the torsion springs on the larger central diameter into two spring sets arranged axially next to one another which act in parallel under load. This allows significantly smaller and lighter springs which are acted upon by significantly smaller centrifugal forces.
