<p>A punched and shaped terminal post 11 has a non-rigid part 16, 16' which comprises a first and a second metal strip part 12, 12' or 32, 32' which are attached to each other at opposite ends in order to present flat rolled surfaces 13, 13' which partly overlap where they meet at the sides. The outer edges 19, 19' of the respective strip parts 12, 12' or 32, 32' are pushed to the side to engage in the internal periphery of a through hole 22 during insertion to make a sliding connection of the surfaces 13, 13'. The non-rigid part is manufactured by folding a strip through 180 degree around its transverse axis to bring the overlapping parts of the rolled surfaces 13, 13' in contact with each other and connect the free ends. In one embodiment the body is split 33, 33' close to the fold to form two opposing projecting edges 36, 37 which are intended to prevent the strip parts 12, 12' from moving together in order to increase the insertion force. <IMAGE></p> |
