The subject of the invention is a loading bridge for ramps, having a bridge plate (1) which is linked to the ramp, can be lifted by means of a lifting cylinder (8) and has, at its free end, an extension (2) which can be retracted and extended (folded in and out) by means of a push-action cylinder (10), a hydraulic control exhibiting the principle of a dead man's control in its lifting movement, the lowering movement being initiated by a feeler, then, however, being continued as a result of the dead weight until the bridge plate (1) meets a mechanical stop (7) and actuates a re-ascend switch (3). In order to provide a simply designed loading bridge, in which an undesired return of the bridge plate to its initial position during a loading or unloading operation and thereafter is prevented by means of a mechanical interlock device, it is proposed to provide a blocking wedge (4) which can be inserted between the bridge plate (1) and the mechanical stop (7) in order to keep the re-ascend switch (3) free, and a pressure switch (11), which is arranged in the line (13) of the lifting cylinder (9), as a signal transmitter for actuating the blocking wedge. <IMAGE>
