An electrical power cable coupling comprising a plug part (1) having plug pins (2) as well as a female part (3) having sprung clamping sleeves (4) for gripping the plug pins such that current can be passed, the plug pins (2) and the clamping sleeves (4) in each case being provided with an electrical power cable terminal (5) for firm connection of the live wire and of the return wire (6, 7) of an electrical power cable. An interrupter (8) is arranged between at least one of the clamping sleeves (4) and the electrical power cable terminal (5) assigned to the clamping sleeve (4), the plug part (1) being provided with a trip device (9), which acts on the interrupter (8) during insertion into the female part (3). The interrupter (8) is formed by a push-button switch. The trip device (9) is formed, depending on the position of the interrupter (8) in the female part (3), by a stud which is arranged laterally on the plug part or by a switching pin which extends parallel to the plug pins (2). <IMAGE>
