NONMETALLIC TIRE CHAIN AND ITS MANUFACTURE

摘要

PURPOSE:To simplify the manufacture and improve durability of a tire chain for preventing slip of cars by making a flat plate or curved plate made of plastic reinforcing core and covering the upper and lower surfaces of the core with vulcanized rubber. CONSTITUTION:A plate-like core body 10 having a mesh pattern is formed by plastics. And the entire surface of the core body 10 is covered with a cover body 12 of vulcanized rubber. In this case, while the cross-sectional shapes of respective branch portions of the core body 10 and the cover body 12 in a road contact portion T and a side portion S can be arbitrary, it is so arranged that the core body 10 has appropriate dimensions of thickness and width of each branch portion and is of a plate-like shape having an overall rigidity. With this constitution, The manufacture becomes simple and moreover durability can be improved.
