摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an immersion oil for microscope having a low cloud point and excellent properties by heating a mixture contg. liquid hydrocarbon having 200-5,000 number average mol. wt. and at least one kind of compds. selected from specific compds., then holding the immersion oil in an atmosphere from which moisture is removed at the time of cooling. CONSTITUTION:The immersion oil for microscope is produced by heating the mixture contg. the liquid hydrocarbon having 200-5,000 number average mol. wt. and at least one kind of compds. selected from the compds. expressed by the formula I-III, then cooling the same. The immersion oil is held in the atmosphere in which the moisture is not contained at the time of the above- mentioned cooling. A means for preventing the contact of moisture with the surface of the immersion oil is obtd. simply by sealing the surface of the immersion oil under cooling with a highly dehumidified gas. Commercially marketed high-purity gaseous nitrogen and gaseous argon are straightly usable as the sealing gas. Air subjected to a drying treatment is adequately usable as well. In the formula I, R<1>-R<5> denote hydrogen or alkyl group of 1-2C, R<6> denotes alkyl group of 1-4C, m in the formula II is 0 or 2 and n is 1 or 2.
