PURPOSE:To obtain reduced picture information at high speed, by providing a first memory means which stores a data representing thinning corresponding to a reduction ratio at an address, and a second memory means which stores an input original picture data. CONSTITUTION:A write address generating means 11 is reset by a write sync e1, and counts a write clock (i). The count value is supplied from the means 11 to a first line memory 16A through a first selector 13A, and becomes the write address of the memory 16A. As a result, the picture data of an original picture data Di is stored in the memory 16A in a form that the picture data is thinned out in the ratio of 5 to 1. Meanwhile, since a read signal (g) and a read address (l) are supplied to a line memory 16B, a reduced picture data stored in the memory 16B in the cycle of a preceding one line is read out, and is outputted as an output data Do. |
