The invention relates to a process for producing dispersion-hardened alloys based on copper, in which hot embrittlement is avoided. This is achieved according to the invention by adding amounts of molybdenum to a copper melt and superheating the mixture by up to 1000@C and subsequently subjecting the resulting melt to very rapid cooling of at least 10<4> to 10<5>@C/sec. until the melt solidifies.
