Seal of a ceramic pipe

A seal of a ceramic pipe (3) in a ceramic plate (2), in particular in the case of a high-temperature heat exchanger, is intended to be highly temperature-resistant, to permit expansions of the pipe (3) and to permit simple mounting. Ceramic bushes (5) are inserted into the plate (2) for this purpose. Ceramic fibre material (7) is introduced, as sealant, into an annular space (6) formed by the bush (5). The bush (5) exhibits a collar (8) with at least one cutout (11). A ceramic closure ring (13) is locked to the collar (8) and compresses the sealant. <IMAGE>
