<p>PURPOSE:To prevent lowering in efficiency of a packet switching network by providing all subscriber information relating to all packet terminals contained in each low-order packet switchboard under control in a high-order packet switchboard, and providing only necessary minimum subscriber information relating to contained terminal in each low-order packet switchboard. CONSTITUTION:Low-order packet switchboards 31-36 are provided only with necessary minimum subscriber information of contained packet terminal, and all subscriber information relating to all packet terminals 51, 52 etc. in control areas 21, 22 are provided in hihg-order packet switchboards 11, 12. Call setting process between packet terminals 51 and 52 and releasing of call under setting are executed by the high-order switchboard 11. The low-order packet switchboard 33 transmits packet for setting call to unconditionally controlled high- order packet switchboard 11, and transmits data packet to the shortest route to an arriving packet terminal 51. Accordingly, execution of setting of call and releasing and processing of call under setting are entirely made unnecessary, and it is sufficient to provide necessary minimum of subscriber information relating to contained packet terminals.</p> |
