PURPOSE:To enhance the shearing accuracy by using a gib mechanism as vertical driving device for a lower edge, lessening the distance of the frame from said lower edge and its holder, and by raising the stiffness of the part including the frame. CONSTITUTION:A lower edge and its holder 1 are supported by the frame through an upper gib 11 and a lower 12. Because these gibs 11, 12 contact on a slope 13, the lower edge and holder 1 make vertical motion when a cylinder 14 pushes and pulls the gib 12. Accordingly the total height of the upper gib 11 and lower gib will be less than that in any conventional arrangement to cause higher stiffness to the part including the frame 4. Thus the cutting accuracy is enhanced. |
