A continuous casting mould has two broad sides (2,3) inserted into a water box and narrow sides (8) which can be clamped between the broad sides (2,3), the narrow sides (8) being adjustable relative to one another for the purpose of adjusting the format of the mould cavity formed by the broad-side walls (2,3) and the narrow-side walls (8) and the broad-side walls (2, 3) being pressable against the narrow-side walls (8) at each end by means of a clamping device (13) which can be released with the aid of an actuating device (14,15), is formed by spring assemblies (28,29) and connects the broad-side walls (2,3) via a tie rod (24). In order to obtain two different spread positions of the broad-side walls (2,3), the tie rod (24) of each clamping device (13) can be displaced in opposite directions along its axis relative to the broad-side walls (2,3) with the aid of a first or a second actuating device (14,15), out of an operating position in which it presses the broad-side walls (2,3) against the narrow-side walls (8) via spring assemblies (28,29) arranged between both ends of the tie rod (24) and the broad-side walls (2,3), into a first or second spread position (Fig.2). <IMAGE>
