The invention relates to a passenger vehicle which is protected against external attacks (explosions, projectiles, etc.). It comprises the combination of an armour-plated main body (1) and an outer body (2) which is formed from elements (3, 3', 3'' etc.) which do not have an essential structural function and give the vehicle the external appearance of a prestige vehicle.
