PURPOSE:To reproduce information on both faces of a disc in a cassette by sticking a reflecting mark to the first or the second position of the front face of each cassette, and providing a grasping part with the first and the second sensors which should sight these positions. CONSTITUTION:Sensors 92 and 93 are arranged in the vertical direction in a grasping part 80 of a carrier, and the sensor 92 sights a position 18b on a front face 18a of a cassette 18, and the sensor 93 sights a position 18c on the front face 18a. Though a reflecting tape 94 is stuck to the position 18b on the front face 18a of the cassette 18, nothing is stuck to the position 18c. When the grasping part 80 approaches the cassette 18 and a claw part 85a of the grasping part 80 is engaged with a recessed part 18f after riding onto an upper slope 18d of the cassette 18, the sensor 92 senses the tape 94, and its contents are transmitted to a computer. Thus, the grasping part 80 is rotated, and the disc has the surface to be reproduced turned up and is loaded to a reproducing device.
