In the case of a device for connecting cable ducts which are arranged opposite one another at the ends, in order to achieve a simplification of both the device parts and their assembly a moulding (3) is provided as the connector, which moulding (3) is profiled essentially in an H-shape, is shrunk by the influence of heat and consists of plastic, and its web (4) is expanded transversely with respect to its longitudinal extent, the wall end parts (which face one another at the ends) of the cable ducts (1, 2) being inserted between the moulding flanges (5, 6) such that the moulding web (4) is arranged between the ends of the cable ducts (1 + 2), and such that the moulding web (4) is shrunk by the influence of heat such that the wall end parts of the cable ducts (1 + 2) are clamped in between the moulding flanges (5 + 6), at least in a force-fitting manner. <IMAGE>
