摘要 PURPOSE:To eliminate an irregularity in the electrostatic charging of an electrostatically charged body and to reduce the size of an electrostatic recording device by arranging a solid-state electrostatic discharging element slantingly so that its electrostatic discharging surface cross the electrostatic charged surface of the electrostatically charged body. CONSTITUTION:The solid-state discharging element and charged body 2 are so arranged that their discharging surface 3 and charged surface 4 cross each other. When electric power is supplied to an input terminal 10 from an external power source to induce a high voltage Vae across the secondary coil of a boosting transformer 12, the voltage Vac is applied between a discharging electrode 8 and a counter electrode 6 to perform electrostatic discharging from the discharging electrode 8. A DC voltage Vc generated by rectifying the AC voltage Vac by a rectifying means 13 is applied between the discharging electrode 8 and charged body 2. Ions generated at the discharging electrode 8 are attracted to the charged body 2, which is charged uniformly. Consequently, the occupation area of the solid-state discharging element 1 along the charged body 2 becomes extremely small and the charged body 2 is reducible in size.
