<p>A weighing device for weighing track guided vehicles like rail cars, which uses moveable load cell equipped weighing platforms which in turn have the capability of passing underneath rail cars parked in a designated weighing area. When stopped underneath the car to be weighed the platforms are elevated raising the car off its normal rails and placing its weight on to the platform's load cells whose summed signals yield an accurate rail car weight.</p> |
