PHOSPHOR AND RADIATION IMAGE STORAGE PANEL EMPLOYING THE SAME A divalent europium activated barium fluorohalide phosphor having the formula (I): (Ba1-a-b,Caa,Srb)FX.cNaX':xEc2+ (I) in which each of X and X' is at least one halogen selected from the group consisting of C?, Br and I; a and b are numbers satisfying the conditions of 0 ? a ? 10-1 and 0 ? b ? 10-1 and a+b ? 0, provided that a+b is not higher than 5x10-2 in the case of ab ? 0, and c and x are numbers satisfying the conditions of 0 < c ? 2.0 and 0 < x ? 0.2, respectively. A radiation image storage panel employing said phosphor is also disclosed.
