PURPOSE:To prevent minute holes from being clogged due to drying of an ink, by providing a jetting surface with the minute holes connected with ink- supplying passages in order to jet ink droplets to a printing surface, and providing the jetting surface with an ink-repellent area surrounding the minute holes. CONSTITUTION:An ink 14 being jetted through minute holes 22, is split into a plurality of ink droplets under the surface tension thereof in the process of flight thereof, and the ink droplets sequentially reaches a printing surface. Thereafter, with the flow of the ink 14 being stopped, the portions of the ink not yet split into ink droplets at outlets of the minute holes 22 are drawn back by the surface tension to flow down along a jetting surface 38. Hereupon, the ink 14 flowing down along the jetting surface 38 is repelled by an ink-repellent area 42 provided in the vicinity of the minute holes 22, so that the ink is not adhered to the area 42. Therefore, ink droplets are normally formed at the time of the next jetting of the ink, and accordingly, the minute holes 22 are prevented from being clogged due to the drying of the ink adhered to the jetting surface 38. |
