PURPOSE:To permit easy and prompt adding of new insert material to an old insert material when the continuous insert, wound around a roll, is lost, by a method wherein an accumulator is provided in a divice for molding a continuous molded form by extrusion. CONSTITUTION:In a device for manufacturing a weather strip, a trim or the like by extruding resin from an extruder onto a continuous insert, wound around a roll 2, the final end of the insert 1 from the roll 2 is detected by an insert terminal detecting means 10 when the insert 1 from the roll 2 has been consumed out and a stopper 30 is operated to pinch the insert 1 and connect it to the tip end of a new insert from the roll by a connecting means 20. During this connecting operation, the insert is supplied continuously to the extruder 9 while consuming the insert, accumulated in an annumulator 40 consisting of a multitude of pulley devices. |
