BIS(AMINOALKYL)PIPERAZINE DERIVATIVES AND THEIR USE AS METAL ION CONTROL AGENTS AND CEMENT SET RETARDING AGENTS

It has now been found that certain phosphonate derivatives of bis(aminoalkyl)piperazines are good threshold agents to prevent metal ion precipitation in aqueous solutions. They also function as sequestering and/or chelating agents as do those which do not contain the phosphonate group. These compounds which have at least one of the amine hydrogens phosphonomethylated are employed as cement set retarding additives.
