ENGINE PROTECTION SYSTEM A control system for protecting an internal combustion engine is disclosed. The system comprises input receiving means for receiving a plurality of warning signals, each representing a fault condition, and signal processing means for producing an engine shutdown command signal. The signal processing means includes means for classifying any received warning signal as one requiring a fast shutdown response or a delayed shutdown response.
