发明名称 MANUFACTURE OF RARE-EARTH MAGNET
摘要 PURPOSE:To make anisotropy high and magnet properties excellent by a method wherein a specific amorphous alloy of R2T14B (R is a rare earth metal and T a transition metal) is made into a crystallized metal by hot rolling and thereafter the powder thereof is subjected to magnetic molding and sintered. CONSTITUTION:Hot rolling is applied to a thin strip of an amorphous alloy consisting of components of R2T14B (R is an rare-earth metal such as Y, Ce, Pr, Nd, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, etc. and T a transition metal such as Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, etc.) which contain Nd, Fe and B as main components. Crystallization of the alloy is performed while the thickness of the thin strip thereof is lessened. On the occasion, the temperature of a hot roll, though dependent on composition, is preferably within a range of about 450 deg.C to 1100 deg.C, and a compressibility of 0-70 % approximately by rolling contributes to an improvement of properties to a large degree. Thereafter, the thin strip of the crystallized alloy is pulverized finely to be magnet powder. Then, the powder is molded in a magnetic field, sintered and subjected to aging preferably as occasion demands. Thus, a desired rare-earth magnet is obtained.
