PURPOSE:To eliminate a transfer pump, by a method wherein, in a title device for a fuel tank partitioned into plural chambers, a valve, opening and closing based on a given fuel amount serving as a boundary line, is situated in a first fuel chamber, and a valve reversely opening and closing is situated in the other chamber, and the valves are connected to a pump for constitution. CONSTITUTION:When a fuel level in a main tank chamber 1A is high, a float 13C of a valve 13 floats up to close a valve 13d, and fuel from a subtank 1B is prevented from flowing. Simultaneously, a valve 13e is opened,and fuel in the main tank 1A flows in a fuel pump 2 of the main tank 1A. When the fuel level in the main tank 1A is lowered and the float 13c comes down, the valve 13d is opened, the valve 13e is closed, the flow of the fuel from the main tank 1A is stopped, and the fuel from the subtank chamber 1B is sucked in a fuel pump 2. This constitution eliminates a transfer pump and enables simplification of constitution.
