PURPOSE:To improve the operability of a picture forming device, by setting editing coordinates with input means which continuously change coordinate values. CONSTITUTION:Picture editing means 32 and 82 control picture forming operations so that pictures can be formed or cannot be formed for the picture parts corresponding to set editing coordinates only and can edit formed pictures in accordance with the set coordinates. When input means 61 and 62 which continuously change coordinate values are operated, on the other hand, the set coordinate values continuously change and, when the operations of the input means 61 and 62 are canceled, the change in set coordinate value is stopped. If the operations of the input means 61 and 62 are canceled at the moment when the set coordinate values change to desired values, the desired coordinate values can be set. Therefore, by the operation of the keys which continuously change the coordinate values only, the coordinates of a part which is to be copied or erased can be set. Thus this picture forming device becomes easier in operation and high in operability. |
