PURPOSE:To execute accurately the positional adjustment of an optical system arranging at least two single mode fibers near both the ends of a fiber array and coupling the two single mode fibers each other. CONSTITUTION:Light beams inputted from one single mode fiber SM in the fiber array 1 are turned to parallel beams through a lens 3 and reflected by a diffraction grating 2. The beams separated in respective wavelengths by the reflection based upon the diffraction grating 2 are passed again through the lens 3, concentrated into plural multimode fibers MM formed in respective wavelengths and outputted. To adjust the positions of the fiber array 1, the diffraction grating 2 and the lens 3 in the demultiplexer, a system for inputting a light beam from one of two single mode fibers SM arranged on both the ends and outputting them from the other is used. Since the core of each single mode fiber is thin, the position of the optical system can be accurately adjusted. |
