PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of toner mixing at the time of multicolor development by arranging plural developing parts on the front state of a transfer part and adjusting the electrostatic capacity of a photosensitive body and potential holding characteristics at respective exposing parts to attain multicolor development based upon the plural developing parts. CONSTITUTION:Plural developing parts D1 D2 consisting of electrifiers 2, 5 for electrifying the outer periphery of the photosensitive body 1, exposing devices 3, 6 for exposing the electrified outer periphery of the body 1 and developing devices 4, 7 for developing the exposed outer periphery of the body 1 are positioned on the front stage of the transfer part 8 and successively arranged around the body 1. Then, the electrostatic capacity of the body 1 and the potential holding characteristics in respective exposed parts of the body 1 are adjusted to attain multicolor development based upon the plural developing parts D1, D2. Since an image can be formed by one transfer process, the printing speed of the multicolor printing can be improved to almost the same degree as a monochromatic printing speed and the practical value of the recording system can be increased and the color mixing of multicolor toners can be prevented by adjusting the potential of the exposed part and the electro-static capacity properly. |
