PURPOSE:To prevent the serious troubles such as the breaking off of movable vanes beforehand by judging the erosion state by measuring the operation state of a steam reducing valve and the turbine output and comparing said values with the previously grasped data. CONSTITUTION:The turbine output characteristic curve 15 with a sound nozzle area and the turbine output characteristic curve 16 with the nozzle area expanded by erosion are grasped beforehand. The erosion state is judged by measuring the steam reducing valve opening degree demand signal quantity X and the turbine output and comparing said values with the curves 15 and 16. Thus, the serious troubles such as the breaking off of movable vanes can be prevented beforehand.
