PURPOSE:To obtain a signal with excellent S/N even at a weak electric field area by applying band limit to an (L-R) signal added to an (L-R) ' signal being the result of 90 deg. orthogonal modulation to the sub signal [(L-R) signal] so as to suppress a high frequency noise component. CONSTITUTION:Since the sub signal [(L-R) signal] is subject to band limit by an LPF 16, the noise of a high frequency and caught by ears easily in the (L-R) signal led to an adder 9 is suppressed and the S/N of the output signal is improved. When the (L-R) signal is larger than the (L-R)' being the result of 90 deg. orthogonal modulation to the (L-R) signal, the (L-R) signal subject to band limit by the LPF 16 is added/subtracted with the main signal [(L+E) signal] at a matrix circuit 15. Although the channel separation at a high frequency is deteriorated in this case, since the (L-R)' signal is sufficiently larger than the (L-R) signal even at a small signal, the S/N is improved without almost being received by the LPF 16.
