A plurality of tape-form wood strips are overlaid in multilayers in a manner for the grain directions of the strips to cross one another at right angle. The multilayer wood strips are immersed in a bath (3) containing stearic acid and paraffin liquid mixed in the solution of phenol resin and alcohol to stand for a long period and allow the penetration of phenol resin solution in the wood structure. The strips are then taken out to be pressed with heat in a mould for 30min. at 200≦̸C to produce a ring-shaped tambourine frame.
